I use a wooden comb for my hair. A must have for me!

A year ago I started using wooden comb for my hair and now I cannot use a plastic one. My hair doesn’t like the static-Ky afterwards. And now since I am used to the feel of wood on my scalp, the plastic comb kinda feels artificial.

But it’s not just no static or good feel of wood comb, there are many more reasons to use a wood comb.

Here’s why you should use a wooden comb…

The feel of wood on your scalp is amazing. It sort of gives a mini scalp massage when you use it. This helps to increase the blood flow to the scalp- bringing lovely nutrients to the hair roots.

No static either! The natural wooden fibers work great to condition your hair.

As you comb, the natural oils from your scalp coat your hair shaft all the way down to the ends.

Also, in my opinion combs are a better option than brushes, especially if you have curly hair. They glide through smoothly and make disentanglement so much easier.

It may also help with dandruff. Normally dandruff is due to dry scalp, regular combing with a wooden comb will normalize the oil production and eliminate dandruff.

It also adds body and bounce to your hair.

Believe me guys this small habit of replacing my plastic comb with a wooden comb has really affected my hair in a very positive way.

I have seen noticeable results like my hair have increased in volume, they have become more straighter and no more feel dull, like they have been stripped off their natural oils.

NOTE- I am not saying that I don’t suffer hair-fall at all. It is just that with a lot of volume being added to my hair it doesn’t concern me anymore.

HOW TO KEEP IT CLEAN?

Like any other combs, wooden combs too must be kept clean so you don’t transfer the grease back into your hair.

Every time you wash your hair , take your comb along with you and give it a wash as well. you can use some soap and warm water to clean it. If it’s greasy or dirty, use an old toothbrush to scrub it gently.

Do you use a wooden comb?

Would love to hear how you comb your hair…

Until next time,

Lots of Love
