#MyGreenTeaExperience

Hola!

How are you guys?

Hope all of you are doing great. Today I have something really ‘healthy’ in store for you.

Today we’ll be talking all about green teas!

Shocked??!!

Well to be honest, living outside your parents house (for study, for job, etc) definitely add up to a lot of unhealthy habits in day-to-day life. Believe me this is coming from someone who has now been living 2000kms away from home for the past 5 years. Yes this long since I was a teen and I am not even kidding.

Apart from missing ‘Ghar ka Khana’ living away has taught me a lot of things (maybe I can do a blog post about this later) but the most important has been the loss of health. After a lot of nagging by my dad & friends I finally gave in & decided to stick to a healthy schedule for straight 15 days & decided to continue only if I will see any difference in my immunity or 50kg belly that I carry (just kidding). So, I went on & posted a picture on instagram about #15daysgreentea challenge & asked you guys to join me too. Thanks to my fellow bloggers (whom I made to take up this challenge) & friends I received a tremendous response for the same.

The whole idea of the challenge was to ditch any caffeine related food/beverage & drink a cup of green tea just once a day. I used to drink my cup in the morning after I woke up, got freshened up, on an empty stomach, the first thing in the morning.

How to make it my way?

You can use the tea bags or the leafy ones, it depends on you. I transited between tea bags & leaves because I had both available at my place. Now, you have to heat the water, not boil it until you start seeing little bubbles in it. If you are using tea bag dip it in the heated water for 2 min & you are done. If you are using leaves u got to put them in sieve & dip the sieve in the heated water for 2 min take it out. The benefit of using the leafy tea is that you can dry the leaves & reuse it, one more time if you feel like, they are totally healthy.

My special ingredient!

I like to add a little lemon in my cup after all the procedure is done or at the beginning while heating the water. What it will do is reduce the bitter taste of the green tea & of course we all know healthy benefits of lemon to reduce belly fat.

Why green tea?

Because

… Green tea contains significant amounts of antioxidants that protect us from heart diseases, cancer, arthritis; helps fight UTI (urinary tract infection) & the list is unending.

Results!

·        I noticed a severe decline in the acne on my face. My face felt a lot shiner & hydrated.

·        I got my periods on time, which is very rare when you survive on junk food.

·        I think I was losing belly fat too. Obviously I won’t lose it so fast in such short span of challenge that I gave myself.

·        I noticed that I became more active.

Summary

To sum up I would totally ask who all are reading this to give this a try, then you, yourself will feel like taking it to another level, with all the changes you’ll start seeing. Obviously I wouldn’t have experienced more changes in such short time.

Also being a caffeine addict as I did not drink coffee for that much time during the challenge, I developed habit of eating chocolates like a lot of them every single day. So this is going to be a little tough & you have to be strong if you have control issues like me.

I am going to continue this habit & in my next post will elaborate more about my experience.

I hope this helped.

Until next time,

Lots of love.
